Religious Education Readiness Program
AngelFish is a Religious Education Readiness Program* for children who must turn 5 years of age by September 1, 2024, and are entering kindergarten. Classes meet on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:45.
Jesus famously told his disciples not to hinder future disciples—the “little children”—from coming to him. Our AngelFish program is very interactive utilizing several resources, including
Word of Life Kindergarten by Augustine Institute & Ignatius Press Kindergarten and engages the whole child: mind, heart, body, and soul.
Word of life - Kindergarten (Ages 4-6)
The Word of Life Student Text makes learning the faith effective, engaging, and fun with Bible stories, contemporary children’s stories, lives of the saints, and activities for a variety of learning styles.
The text consists of core lessons, as well as four liturgical season lessons. Images used in each chapter range from photographs depicting a real-life situation, contemporary art depicting a Bible narrative, and sacred art that depicts an event in salvation history to draw students into the mysteries of Christ, leading them to understand doctrinal elements of the faith more fully.
Every chapter has a page for parents that provides a brief summary of what the child learned in class and a variety of ways to live the faith in daily life.
*Angelfish does not meet the Sacramental Preparation requirements (year 1 or 2).

Children’s Faith Formation NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!
We need volunteer teachers and aides for our children. Youth aides are also welcome!
Adult Teachers and Aides must:
>Be registered members of Corpus Christi
>Be confirmed and actively practicing Catholics
>Enjoy working with children
>Be fingerprinted and safe-environment cleared through the Diocese of Orange in California
