Children's Faith Formation
(Kindergarten to 5th Grade)
What is Faith Formation?
Some of you might know it as CCD, Catechism Class, Religious Education, or Sunday School.
Education is a critical part of forming the faith of all disciples. To have our faith and life formed by God’s love in Christ, we need to know something about the story of God, what it means that God loves us, and how God wants us to act in our daily lives.
However, faith formation goes way beyond the classroom. Faith is formed through any action, experience, or relationship, and education is only one part of that. If we want our children to have a faith that influences the way they live their lives and life decisions, then we need to be modeling faith in our homes.
FISH(1st-5th)
At Corpus Christi, we believe that faith is a lifelong journey that begins in childhood and grows with the loving support of family and parish community. Our Children’s Faith Formation program helps children come to know Jesus in a personal way, learn the richness of our Catholic faith, and grow in love of God and others.
Through engaging lessons, prayer, Scripture, music, activities, and community, children from kindergarten through 5th grade are guided to deepen their relationship with Christ while preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Together, we partner with parents—the first teachers of the faith—to nurture young hearts and minds, helping children build a strong foundation rooted in the Gospel. Our hope is that each child feels welcomed, loved, and inspired to live out their faith joyfully each day.
ANGELFISh
Our Kindergarten known as ANGELFISH helps children take their very first steps in learning about the Catholic faith. With simple lessons, joyful activities, and loving guidance, children begin to know Jesus and experience the beauty of belonging to God’s family. Parents are encouraged to continue the journey at home, as the seeds of faith take root.

During Mass, children are invited to hear the Sunday readings in age-appropriate language, reflect together, and learn how God’s Word applies to their lives. This special time helps them grow in faith and feel more connected to the celebration of the Mass. All children in grades TK-5th grade are invited to participate. No registration is required for CLOW.
we need VOLUNTEERS!
We need volunteer teachers and aides for our children. Youth aides are also welcome!
Adult Teachers and Aides must:
- Be registered members of Corpus Christi
- Be confirmed and actively practicing Catholics
- Enjoy working with children
